"The Spirit Birds "
Kate Church, October 2017
This exhibit was work created over the past two years. Birds have always been part of my figurative work. Perhaps it is because my grandfather would go out into his peach orchard and the birds would come. Birds found their way into my imagery, often sitting on heads and hands, seeming to understand everything or just being there in a nest of hair.
